Hi Matt,

because of lack of information, if I understand well what you say, you can use the scale factor you need, or better you can standardize the scale according the paper format you choose.
Standardization prefer scales as 1:1, 1:2, 1:5 etc. etc., you can easily find them on drawing manuals or technical paper.
