Default Aerodynamics

Anyone know of any word or good pdf documents that go into detail about aerodynamics and how they effect overtaking?

Thanks

Hello Matt4,

I have a pdf file from ANSYS Conference &
25
th CADFEM Users’ Meeting 2007 but it's a 6 MByte file.

It is a ten pages presentation of the part of the car involved in the aerodynamics aspects
such as front wing, rear wing, bargeboard and diffuser.
They are investigated using Fluent as solver.

If you are interested in, let me know how can I send you.

Hi,

It's probably worth looking at some back issues from Race Car Mag or Race Tech Mag as it used to be articles related to Aero / overtaking / windtunnel / CFD.
Also studies have been made by few companies for the FIA as part of the investigation to improve racing, and so there must some public articles about result and effects

Rgds

There has been a lot of work done by NASCAR teams on drafting. This is critical to performance on the Super Speedways with the carburetors running restriction plates.

There maybe some studies that are published as work was done in the Langley tunnel on the same topic.
