holding the wheel I seem to rember ex racer tiff needel saying you should drive a road car with hands at the 10 and 2 if the wheel was a clock face, this would apply in some forms of racing where there is a whole wheel to hold. This is also important when you have bends and corners that involve turns further then you can turn without letting go.If you have a half wheel such as in f1 then you can only hold one way but then again you dont turn over one revoloution of the wheel.
Where you have to change gears on a stick shift having hands at 2 and 10 may waste time in moving hands up and down and perhaps 9 and 3 would be better |
