Canadian GP - BMW Sauber - Race
08/06/08 23:31
Party time for the BMW Sauber squad in Montreal
BMW Sauber made it very clear that the objective for the 2008 season was to record their first Grand Prix win. Today in Canada Robert Kubica did just that from second position on the grid while Nick Heidfeld used a one stop strategy to secure the runner up position and make it a one-two result for the Hinwil-based team.
Kubica now leads the drivers’ championship from Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa. In the constructors' standings the team is second, three points behind Ferrari. click here for the whole article |

| | HIIIII!!
I'm go back finally.
my personal opinion is that Ferrari and McLaren are paying above all a period of scarce lucidity of his drivers, great and unbelievable the constancy of Robert at Montreal (a city circuit however ....) and excellent the performances of the BMW, but in my opinion the Ferrari is still another thing.
If Kimi he wakes up and Felipe has ended the adversity, for the others teams in the long period there won't be anything to be done. Above all now that they will return on the real F1 circuits.....but what kind of error has made Lewis!!!!! incredible!!!!!! it seemed indeed a newbie!!!!
However great compliments to the BMW!!!
Robert for President!! |

| | I think that Kubica is currently one of the most talented drivers, better than Raikkonen and maybe Alonso |

| | Hi Ivan,
sorry but I'm not completely agree with you because Kimi and Fernando have already demonstrate in the past his performances, anyway Robert is really fast and for the moment few errors for him.
We will see on the follow of the championship.
I hope we will see a great championship. |

| | Hello everybody, finally past Sunday we had the demonstration that Formula 1 is not only Ferrari or McLaren, there are hundreds of people working in Hinwil and Munich that had their moments of glory . . . . Good, very good for Formula 1 ! Few lines about the race : obviously the Hamilton's mistake ruined the race for Kimi and also for him, and gave the green light to the first victory for BMW. I must also say that the Swiss/German team have demonstrated that they have everything to be a top team: car, strategy, drivers . . . , especially this season. Don't forget the race by Felipe, he was the last on the track after the safety car . . . Also the podium finish by Coulthard, a great result for RBR, two Toyota in points, the first time this year; as Eragon say the Reds and the Macs are a step ahead, but the race have demonstrated that there are many other that are ready to take advantages from the other mistakes or misfortune. I'm sure that we will have a great championship. LMcQ |

| | Hi guys! i couldn't see the race...but read of it everywhere!! ha ha aha...unbelievable Lewis!
Fine, Robert is a great driver and a great guy also, now everybody knows that!
Can't say who is better...we should see all of them on the same car to understand it....and to be honest I'm not so interested in it at all. The race is won by the whole team, not only by one person, therefore it means that BMW team (mechanics, engineers at home and on track, suppliers, driver and so on) was the best last weekend. Nothing else to say!
The others were below…and it doesn’t matter why and if…what matters in racing is the timetable, and there’s no interpretation for it, there’s only the score table, at the end!
Ciao! |

Ciao! | Some times ago, I read on a book that "the record books record the winner, the race distance and the average speed". LMcQ |
