Hi everybody ! What about the Bahrain race…it seems that the Ferrari Team made up lost time! What do you think about it? But yesterday the great Number One was LUIS HAMILTON …the only driver that, in the F1 history of a driver at his debut, has conquered the podium three times in three races! Amazing! |

Ferrari and McLaren seem to be evenly matched overall this season.
I thought that Ferrari under performed in the Sepang race largely through bad starts and Kimi’s damaged engine.
I’d like an unbiased opinion about Hamilton, With him being a contact of mine and with all the British media attention. Do people feel he’s a top driver or is it just a mature head in the one of the best cars?
Ferraris Race starts were better in Sakhir, but BMW seem to be even better than Both Mac and Ferrari. Not to mention Heidfeld’s race pace and THAT move around Alonso.
Technically I was surprised at McLarens pace on hard tyres and how poorly they went on heavy fuel and soft tyres in the middle stint. May be this is the team just learning the Bridgestones?
Williams continue to do really well and RedBull appeared to be having a great day for pace if not reliability.

Alice, are you fall in love with Hamilton  ? Joke apart, yesterday Lewis made a strong performance. But is he a real title contender ? What was if in the second stint the tires allow the McLarens to match the Ferraris pace ? But was only a tires issue ? I also think that Ferrari is still ahead McLaren and the Malaysian Gp was conditioned by a conservative approach made by the the Prancing Horse’s men. I saw a strong BMW, step by step the German firm is closing the gap with Ferrari and McLaren, and I think that in two or three GP they will be able to fight for victory. Now a question for Gabriele : is true that the filter used to preserve engine from desert dust take away up to 40 CV, as someone said yesterday at the TV ? Ciao, LMcQ |

here I am after some time, I'm sorry if I was absent last week but anyway I followed both Malaysian GP and Bahrain GP.
Let's start con your question, McQueen: is true that the filter used to preserve engine from desert dust take away up to 40 CV, as someone said yesterday at the TV ? I think it's difficult to say exactly how the engine does really take away but the filter used to preserve the engine from desert dust is without any doubt a useful solution used by a lot of people. Using this filter allows to keep a value of the power lower than the average optimal power, but it's also true that losing engine power at every lap is anyway better than what would be lose if the filter was not used. Not considering that one of the risk could also be to break the engine. Anyway 40cv seems to me to be a value quite high!!

Hello Gabriele, also to me 40 CV is a too high value, I don't remember who said that, maybe Gianfranco Mazzoni . . . . Your opinion on Lewis Hamilton ? And what about on the McLarens' second stint ? LMcQ |

what I can say about Malaysia F1... About the Ferrari performance during the Malaysian GP, I agree with Scarbs, the start has certainly not been favourable but it hasn't been the only reason. During that race, the Mc surely was faster. Anyway, I think that it can't be said that the Ferrari is less o more fast than the Mc: in that race, in Malaysia, for a serie of reasons (also the engine damage) it has been slowest! |

About Hamilton, I think he's an exceptional driver, he showed he's very fast and with a really clean way of driving. So let's say one that really doesn't stay there watching. He takes advantage of all the possibilities of the car. I think he really can do something good. It's also true that having a good set up of the car helps him as well. As you all know, I'm an Alonso supporter ( ) and I hope he will win this year, but I think Hamilton has everything that a driver needs to try to win as well. we'll see... |

About what was said about McLArens, I don't think it is only a problem of tyres: The Ferrari (Massa's car, as yesterday Kimi seemed to have some difficulties with Hamilton), surely had a complessive balance between tyres, car and driver conditions that were above to the McLarens, even if I don't think that Massa's condition is above Hamilton's condition.
Ferrari and McLarens seem to be two cars close and, in my opinion, the difference is not only made by the car, but the complessive balance conditions that do the drivers obtain on the circuit.

Mcqueen , yes', you're right... I'm in love with Hamilton.. No I'm just joking, it's obvious. Seriously, I think that, beyond the car (certainly really good balanced), it is the driver condition that makes the difference. I agree with gabry when he says that Hamilton, as he do seem in the beginning of this championship, has everything a driver has to have to be a protagonist of the championship.
