He explained some of the last improvements and he answered all your questions concerning the past, the present and the future of Formula 1 technologies and challenges. NOW it's time to go on without him, let's keep on discussing about each Formula 1 GP in this special area, with all our impressions, ideas and questions about races, vehicles, riders and so many other things. | | Jun, 11th - 1 pm (13:00) - Let's comment Canada F1 GP READY TO SPEAK ABOUT YESTERDAY RACE?Great Luis, great Mc Laren and GREAT FANTASTIC BMW SAUBER!! Only really sorry for Robert…we were already chatting about it and track safety… and I’ve already wrote my mind! (Kubica Crash) I’m only really sorry for Honda: Rubens was doing a good race…maybe the strategy was not perfect, but the car seemed to be better (besides Jenson’s problem I mean). Gabry, please, can you explain me why other tracks are out of Champ for safety reasons, and Canada is in?? Moreover: what about BMW?? They are the 3rd constructor at all now…ehe e… And, sorry but I have to underline it: what about brilliant Ferrari strategy?? 2 cars waiting for the pit stop (maybe they should take tickets like at supermarket) and 1 black flag (moreover 2 cars with the same strategy, and so no advantage from safety cars). And the car? It is clearly worse than Mc Laren and maybe than BMW too…what’s happening? Managing problems? Technical problems? Last but not least: news about STR on sale?? I do believe that they made a good choice with Giorgio (Ascanelli), he could put the team on the fastlane again…but one man maybe is not enough, he needs a team around him, trusting in his skills and helping him to re-build a good technical and managing staff…what’s your mind? |

| | I am very happy for the first victory of Lewis, and also happy for Robert conditions.
The result of the Canada GP is the real value of this World Championship, Mc Laren + Lewis are the best package, and the BMW race by race confirn the good performance, and now is since close to Ferrari. We will see next race.
About the race safety I think don't exist the absolutely track safety, but the combination of the track safety condition and the car safety issue gives good results.
Under Safety Car I think was not wrong the Ferrari choise. Ferrari sure is a quick car and sure it perform better every race, but the Mc Laren now is a little bit faster, and I hope they have the capacity to close this gap.
I like Giorgio, is good friend and good engineer. Now STR have to re-build the technical team and I think he knows how can do it.
ciao

| | Hello to everybody, obviously I'm happy for the Lewis' first victory, he added pepper in this season. As I wrote in another thread when I saw the Robert's crash, a nightmare comes in my mind, but thanks to the car safety nothing tragic has occourred. Yesterday seems that the new rules on safety car are not fully understand by the "big teams" , there was big confusion : car entering during SC, car starting with red light . . . . For the red cars, clearly a step behind compared with the starting of the season, it seems that if they cannot find the right way to adapt to the various tracks, they will catch also by BMWs. In all that confusion ( 4 times SC in ) had emerged Williams and Super Aguri, many compliments to them for their perseverance. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
