I understand all your opinions about the tyres that is really a main point for the success of any and the failure of others.

Anyway the rumors are that also Yamaha is in contact with Bridgestone for a possible deal of the next season and if will remain only Honda with Michelin is possible that the French company will leave the championship.

According to you it is possible indeed that Michelin leaves in front of the first difficulties?

May be they are really only rumors, but.........

Hi, TYRES!
It's with some shame that the British Superbikes seem to be going down the road of a single tyre where as MOTOGP seem at least to have rejected the idea in favour of free competiton.

What was interesting is that Michelin tyre chief Daniel Croispine, He said that Michelin prefers to contest free-tyre championships, and suggested that the gap between the fastest and slowest riders in World Superbikes had remained about the same, despite the use of a single-tyre rule.

I've not checked the numbers but I guess that it may be true.

In my opinion, get rid of traction control before you mess with the tyre rules, then the rider has to demonstrate control.

hi!!

maybe to be similar to Mr. Bernie Ecclestone, debatable F1 big boss, also Carmelo Ezpeleta big boss of Dorna, has given in the last times of the news conflicting respect to the tires; before it declares to want the unique tires company for all, it returns back then and it declares that the situation can hardly change in comparison to this year.

We hope that he makes things clear as soon as possible and that to this point can remain also in the field of the tires some of competition.

we will see

Here in the UK its more bad news. The Britsh Superbikes are now also to use a control tyre.

I dont support the use of a control tyre in these championships and I'd hate to see MOTOGP go that way.

What makes this decision worse is that the British Superbike have chosen Pirelli. While I dont have any axe to grind against Pirelli, I think that give the majority of the racers were using Dunlop and a few on Michelin only and only 1 team used Pirelli's, I cannot see why the BSB went for Pirelli. This means that neither Dunlop or Michelin have a development platform for superbikes.

A sad day for BSB and I dont think we will see any record laps this season from BSB.

Arron...let's remind ourselves that Pirelli is spending a lot of money for mktg...look at WRC for example...!
They are reaching the goal, in their opinion.
In my opinion no challenge makes no communication therefore no mktg, therefore no increasing biz...

I think they will change their mind soon…
