Default superleague formula

Any news or rumors on Superleague moving forward? I have read of the additions of teams and they list several on the site. We get little news in the US on this subject. Will it be a viable series?

Hi Stewart,

some news about Superleague formula:
according to Autosprint magazine, last week in Donington,
has started the Panoz-Menard chassis' development programme
on track.
Autosprint also report that the starting of the season will be at the end of August
in Donington.

Ciao,

Hi Stewart,

in the April issue of both "Racecar Engineering" , May in the cover, and "Race Tech Magazine"
you can find two interesting articles about the Superleague engine from MCT.

Have a look . . .

Hello Lightning,

Just finished the article in Race Tech. (Thank you for the suggestion) It should sound incredible... 12 cylinders revving to 12,000 RPM's.

Hi Stewart,
the article on RE is quite similar to the one on RTM . . .

Are you involved in this new formula competition ?

Hello LMcQ,

I am not involved. I was fortunate enough to visit elan Motorsports (Panoz) and have been trying to follow the work since then. Rumors had circulated that it may not make it to the grid, so I have tried to follow the progress.

It is not getting much press in the US, so I keep my eyes open, and figured the people on this forum can help with a heads up from Europe.

Stewart

I have no news form this point of view. As far as I know they found the right partners/sponsors...but I have no update. Moreover I prefer series where the cars are different and teams can work a lot on them...the competition is much more involving..isn't it?

Maybe I'm an "old-fashioned" but I agree with you Livia,
there is a "strange" trend in these last years : GP2, A1GP, Superleague . . .
