CRP Technology srl was formed in Modena on 17/10/1996 as an R&D department and Roberto Cevolini & C srl spin off.
Roberto Cevolini & C. snc was established in 1970, founded by Roberto Cevolini, an historical heredity from his father Salvatore who had been working in the mechanical sector for 60 years. CR was established as a mechanical company for tooling machines equipment and production which continued working in this direction until 1982, for FIAT and associate companies.
Since 1983, even though it had already sporadically worked for Ferrari spa since its inception, it dedicated more and more time to this company and in particular to its racing department, such as the production of F1 cars, manufacturing frame parts, gearboxes, engine components and machined wind tunnel parts.
In 1996 CRP approached the expanding Rapid Prototyping technology, and opened a dedicated division, CRP Technology srl, that was later directed by Franco Cevolini, son of the founder, graduate in materials engineering. Franco Cevolini soon developed the material used in RP, called WINDFORM, and furthermore he acquired specific know-how on the investment casting process. He managed the development of this technology using disposable patterns made by RP technology. This allowed CRP to be the first company operating in the Racing area, producing and supplying mechanical parts made by cast titanium to the diverse racing teams: the international press has celebrated this record many times in the past. On 17/11/2003 CRP Technology srl and Roberto Cevolini srl merged keeping the CRP Technology srl name.
CRP Technology additionally inherited through its head office extensive experience in high-tech, high precision and mechanical machining. Thanks to this know-how, high reliability and quality, CRP Technology is presently a leading company, partner and supplier of market leading-international companies.
A new concept of company, but already a reference point for clients whose first aim is hi-technology.
