CRP front spindle has been approved for Nascar Top National and Touring series.
High speed, adrenaline, love for cars, are the feeling that millions of fans experience every time motors roar under colourful sponsors that cover the cars.
The popularity of stock car racing is finding its way across the pond and more precisely gaining attention in the Italian MotorValley where the tradition, passion and culture of motorsport has very deep roots.
Among the companies that have contributed to make this piece of land a mecca for racing enthusiasts, there is CRP Technology that for over three decades has been synonymous with quality and technical manufacturing throughout the world of top tier European motorsports. More recently, the staff at CRP has started to investigate where they could apply their collective talent and knowledge in the world of Stock Car Racing. And they have succeeded! The front spindle assembly submitted by CRP USA, has been approved for use in competition in all 3 of Nascar's Top National and Touring Series effective 1/1/2010. The newest trend in suspension technology premiers at PRI 2009 in Orlando, Dec 10th - 12th.The most advanced materials and manufacturing techniques available in motorsports!
CRP representatives will be on hand at booth (1553 – South Hall) to answer questions and advise on scheduling testing opportunities.

Italian manufacturers, CRP move into electric superbikes with TTXGP
Zero carbon, clean emission motorsports received a further endorsement that this really is the next generation of motorsports. Ground breaking Italian manufacturer, CRP Racing, announced that it will be building electric super sports motorcycles exclusively for TTXGP with the engineering support of CRP Technology.
The 'Italian' style bike, the eCRP1.0, is expected to launch at the Motorsports Industry Association (MIA) event Cleaner Racing Conference on 13 January 2010 at NEC in Birmingham. For the first time, an Italian company will bring to this 'new' world of electric motorcycles, its knowledge and experience which can only benefit all concerned.
The eCRP 1.0 bike will be the first Italian electronic vehicle that will enter the TTXGP 2010 and races at the Isle of Man and across the globe.
CRP Racing has a history of 'reinventing the wheel' to ensure it maintains its place as a dynamic state-of-the-art racing reality that continuously improves its R&D department together with CRP Technology.
The bike eCRP 1.0 can be bought by teams that take part in the global TTXGP series and they can rely on CRP technical assistance.

The Direct Digital Manufacturing and the CRP approach
CRP Technology is involved since 1996 in Direct Digital Manufacturing with SLS technology in the motorsport industry and besides achieving great results, they have the merit for having assumed this manufacturing technology among the first in Europe.
According to CRP experience in motorsport, it is not possible to produce only visual model or maquette, but it is necessary to collaborate with the designers and engineers of teams in the realization of prototypes that can have complex structure and geometry. These components, in fact, need to be checked very carefully in the name of safety and reliability.
"In case of racing vehicles", stated Eng. Franco Cevolini, CRP Technology Chairman and Technical Director, "we usually work on a 1:2 scale model that has to pass windtunnel tests and whose configurations must be done in a very short time. For this reason, Rapid Manufacturing is the best technology that allows teams to have components to be tested in short time, but materials are a key factor."
In motorsport industry Windform XT, powder filled with carbon fiber, is the unique material that allows engineers to have finished parts thanks to its technical and mechanical characteristics. There are several other materials that CRP processes with SLS. Beside the Windform range there are for instance the PA Black, a black polyamide material not filled, which is characterised by good elastic properties and good resistance to damages and the Flex Black, an elastomer which is particularly suited for applications where it is required a certain kind of material similar to rubber.
All information and details can be asked directly to CRP Technology that can suggest the right material for each application and project.
CRP Technology and CRP USA at PRI for the first time
CRP Technology will take part in Florida with CRP USA from 10 to 12 December in the unique US exhibition dedicated to motorsport industry: the PRI.
CRP Technology will give all the information about the work-in-progress for next year. The technical chart of the eCRP 1.0 for the TTXGP, the front spindle approved for use in competition in all 3 of Nascar's Top National and Touring Series, the new two-stroke engine disc valve of CRP Racing will be all available at CRP booth 1553, in the MIA area.
The show will be a great occasion to see lively all the incoming future projects at international level, characterised by deep innovative content.
CRP materials and technologies for the Moto2 AT02 of ADV Advanced Technology
ADV Advanced Technology of Monaco is pleased to present for the Moto2, the AT02 that the company of the Principality has developed and realized for the new category Moto2.
The bike will be on track for the world championship 2010 with the Team WTR S.Marino.
The bike, whose frame has been studied and realized by one of the most important Italian frame craftsman, Diego Golinelli from Imola, has been engineered by ADV in all its technical parts with the use of Reverse Engineering and Rapid Prototyping, technologies that have been provided by CRP Technology, leader in the applications of innovative processes in high-performing sectors.
As regards the Rapid Prototyping it was fundamental the choice of Windform, the material of CRP that is considered to be the best performing powder for SLS technology, thanks to its mechanical properties. In this case Windform has allowed to obtain excellent results even in very complex applications such as the connection of the existing CBR600RR Honda engine with the prototype of the frame. Moreover, it was also fundamental the use of CRP material in the improvement of the inner and outer dynamic aero flow of the air.
Other applications have been carried out as regards the integral sliding shoe chain, the false tank, the air-box cover, the frame with the underplate air flow and many other settlement applications.
