The Machining Department is characterised by next generation 5 axis CNC workstations, particularly suited to machine hi-tech materials such as Titanium alloys, Metal Matrix and special steels. There is also a CNC lathe machining Department and a EDM machining Department.

 

Every CNC workstation is connected to the company network (LAN) and directly receives the complex work cycles, set up by the Technical Office (CAM Department) in order to increase automation and therefore productivity. Thus obtaining better delivery times and better high-end product quality.  

 

The Quality-Control Department guarantees a continuous control on the materials and on each production step, according to the ISO 9001:2000 certification, the company being certified with the National Organization RINA since 1997.

Thanks to its Hi-Tech mechanical department, CRP Technology produces innovative projects, from high precision titanium casting to the machining of difficult to work and advanced materials such as Aluminium MMC.

 

The production of components in MMC is in fact one of the main specializations of the mechanical department, that began to work on this composite in 2000 and then developed a complete process, using Polycrystalline Diamond tools, customized on its design. With the high-speed machining, the execution times had a 50% reduction.
Moreover, many investments are continuously made on new machines, more and more innovative, and also on staff training.  

Core Business of the mechanical department is the upright manufacturing with several technologies according to the needs of the racing car and the constructor.

A customised CRP packaging with controlled polystyrene density has been studied and manufactured for shipment, therefore each MMC part is shipped inside specific CRP packaging in order to avoid any breaking of the very expensive and fragile components.

CRP key words are: Availability and Support, notwithstanding the continuous project changes requested by the customer during the racing season. Of course respecting at all times the delivery schedule and the best quality/price ratio.
